The first series of 100, the famous one like C1, came introduced to the end of 1968. Classic sedan to 3 volumes was one that reinterpretava, in modern key, the canoni aesthetic of the smallest F103.
A lot very rifinita and cured in every detail the 100 had also one good equipment of accessories. The C1 has been the first European car to having the auto body planned taking advantage of of the mathematical models to us, in order to also optimize the structural resistance maintaining a weight reduced. Between the particular characteristics of the car there were:
- the front-wheel drive, in those years still little diffused in the category of the medium-advanced ones;
- the manual change to 4 marce.
- the motor "mitteldruck" that is to intermediate jam: the compression ratio is much high (from 10,5:1 until 11,7:1 to second of the versions) that it increases the rendering;
- the position of front discs brake ( the refraining system was of mixed type discs/tamburi) "inboard" that is to sides of the change, in order to reduce the masses not suspended;
- the battery posizionata under to the posterior seat in order balancing the distribution of the weights;
- the dicitura "CAR UNION" on the identificative nameplates of the motor space and on certifys you of homologation.
The range previewed initially the version sedan to 4 doors in the versions "base", "S" and "LS". Beyond that for the level of finish and some particular it chromium plates to you external, the three preparations deferred also for the put different to point (and therefore power) of the motor. All the versions were equipped with 4 cylinders auctions and balances of 1760 cc fed to single carburetor monobody from 80cv on the base (called "Audios simply 100") with one maximum speeds declared par to 156 km/h, double body on the "100 S" (90 cv for 165 km/h) and on 100 LS (100 cv for 170 km/h). To half of 1969 it came introduced the version 2 doors, with the same motors and preparations but classified only to some markets. In Italy it will be imported R-a.richiesta to leave from 1970.
