Audi 80

In 1978 it came launch the second generation of Audios 80. Equipped of one new longer (+13,8 cm), always wider auto body (to three volumes) (+8.2cm) and with a greater step +(6.9cm), the 80 B2 introduced an identical mechanical formulation to that one of the previous series. Also the inner ones, plus rifiniti spaziosi and best, were unknown. As far as the motors not there were innovation. To the base it remained the small 4 cylinders of 1272cc from 60cv, while to the top of the range the 1585cc was placed fed to carburetor (85cv) or injection (110cv). The preparations previewed for the Italian market, where it came imported the single version to 4 doors, were: GL, GLS, GLE and GTE. The range was made up therefore:

* 80 1,3 GL
* 80 1,6 GLS (85cv)
* 80 1,6 GLE (110cv)
* 80 1,6 GTE (110cv)

In the 1980 they came launch "the economic" versions, that is the 1,6 GL Formel and and 1,6 Diesel engine GL. Before it was moved from 1600 to endowed benzine of device of spegnimento/riavvio lessened automatic rifle (in order to reduce the consumptions), while the second one was pushed from 4 cylinders to diesel oil of 1588cc from 54cv.

In 1981 it came launch the 80 CD, moved from 5 cylinders to injection of 1921cc from 115cv. The CD had particularly cured finishes, chromium plated frames around the glasses, increased bumpers (with spoiler front), wheels in light alloy and one equipment of accessories much rich one. In 1982 motor 1600 came replaced from 1781cc from 90 (version to carburetor) or 112cv (the version to injection). The same year came rendered available 80 GTE Four, with motor 1800 to injection and permanent integral traction with three differentiates them. Version "Four" had a posterior suspension to independent wheels (rather than interconnected), in order to make place the third party differentiates them.
